Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt brought in a decade ago, said on Twitter “Day to Day Adult spervision no longer needed!”

The announcement upstaged Googles own good news fourth quarter earnings report. There is a cry going out that says don’t fix it if it aint broken!

So in one week, significant helm changes at three of silicon valleys biggest companies.

For Google at this time it’s important to recognise that Facebook presents stiff competition. It’s an area that Google has not been so successful with.

Larry Page says “Google is an incredible opportunity. When he started it, people thought we were coming in too late, there were too many search engines. It was early then, it’s early now. I can’t wait to get started”
